For the previous 15-20 years, Ellis Phillips and a gaggle of devoted volunteers have generously served a free seafood lunch to regulation enforcement/first responders, the army, and senior residents.

Such was the case Thursday as dozens gathered below the pavilion at J.F. Gregory Park to get pleasure from locally-caught seafood, home-cooked aspect dishes and desserts on a wonderful spring day.

Phillips is a proud veteran who says the occasion has one easy goal. “It is in honor of the regulation enforcement and first responders and to point out their appreciation for all they do in the neighborhood.”
