Add the hen to the pot and sear till well-browned on the underside, about 5 minutes. Switch to a plate. Add the onion to the pot and prepare dinner till beginning to soften, about 3 minutes. Add the garlic, 1 teaspoon chili powder, 3/4 teaspoon floor cumin, and 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, and prepare dinner till aromatic, about 30 seconds. Add 3 cups low-sodium hen broth and scrape up any browned bits from the underside of the pot. Flip the cooker off.
