Wausau Pilot & Overview
Organizations in Wausau are looking for volunteers to make sure town’s most susceptible residents are heat, fed and secure as temperatures plummet into the one digits and under zero.
A collaborative effort is underway, however extra assist is required. Catholic Charities Warming Shelter seeks volunteers to help throughout consumption hours and within the morning, from 5 a.m. to eight a.m. and seven p.m. to 10 p.m. this weekend. Name 715-391-3811 to be taught extra and volunteer your time.
Open Door can be in search of daytime volunteers to serve between the hours of 5 a.m. to six p.m. and are additionally seeking donated meals. Crockpot meals, sandwiches, snacks, soups and casseroles are all welcome, as are donations of espresso, juice and water. Please name Open Door at 715-848-4044.
