ROCKLAND — Coconut milk, frozen raspberries, ginger, bananas and extra crowded the desk at Rockland Recreation’s Children’ Check Kitchen as college students took turns pouring elements right into a blender.

On the third day of the four-day camp Wednesday, Fay guided the scholars by means of a recipe for a tropical mango and ginger smoothie.

The scholars rigorously sniffed and tasted their creation. Harper Lyman-Yelle, 9, of Hanover, determined that it was a bit too heavy on the pineapple juice and threw in another elements to dampen the flavour.
