OILER, Doris
Age 86, of Dayton, handed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022. She was born in Somerset, KY, to Howard and Edith Phillippi. After shifting from Kentucky together with her mother and father as a woman Doris grew up in Dayton and met the love of her life
Richard ‘Dick’ Oiler and collectively that they had 4 kids. After elevating a household with Dick, she launched into a profession in retail. She went to work for Elder Beerman within the housewares
division at Van Buren and ultimately labored for them on the furnishings retailer in Centerville. She excelled at promoting carpet and rugs for years and sometimes commented that she “had
carpeted half the houses in Dayton”, incomes the respect and admiration of colleagues and prospects alike. She retired
after 17 years of service. Not one to sit down idly by, she missed the retail world and went to work for Goal. After just a few years her declining well being pressured her to retire for good. Her a few years in retail taught her to know a very good discount when she noticed it. Discount purchasing turned her new passion and leisure, and he or she loved it nearly as a lot as being in her kitchen. Meals was her love language. She delighted her household and mates together with her well-known hen and noodles and her Hungarian cabbage rolls and Christmas Day celebrations
all the time included a big crockpot stuffed with vegetable soup. Her spare time was spent in her kitchen baking candy treats, typically creating new recipes immediately. Her peanut butter fudge was perfection. After retirement, she loved studying, an
exercise she did not have time for whereas elevating her kids. She liked to stitch, cross-stitch and embroider. She taught herself to macramé and made many presents for family and friends. Doris is preceded in loss of life by her husband Richard ‘Dick’ Oiler,
mother and father Howard and Edith Phillippi, grandsons Matt Hensley and Kurt Hensley, sister Betty Jewell and son-in-law Jack
Chafins. She is survived by her kids Connie (O’Dell) Pursifull, Rick Oiler, Penni Chafins, Phil (Amy) Oiler, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild,
siblings Charlotte Gerhardt, Doug Phillippi, and Diana (Tom) Bruce, and quite a few prolonged household. Personal providers have been held on the comfort of the household. In lieu of flowers,
