SCARBOROUGH – Victoria Albenia King, a resident of Piper Shores in Scarborough, handed away peacefully on March 7 at 100 years of age.

“Bena”, as she was fondly referred to as, was the daughter of Pio and Victoria Zamarchi, who immigrated from Rimini, Italy, in 1905. She was born in Portsmouth, N.H., on Jan. 20, 1922, the place she grew up and attended faculty together with her 4 siblings. After highschool she was an accounting clerk for the Italian Cooperation till she married Russell King, who was within the U.S. Navy. Following the tip of World Struggle Il, they settled in Cape Elizabeth with their two kids, Betty and Danny, the place they lived for 45 years.

Daniel King, of Tyler, Texas; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Pierce (Jeffery) of Cumberland, and David Cimino (Kristin) of Cumberland Foreside; and 5 great-grandchildren, Nicholas Cimino, Chloe Pierce, Luca Cimino, Lily Pierce and Holden Pierce; and her brother, Daniel Zamarchi (Theresa), of Portsmouth, N.H.

On the request of Victoria, there will likely be no funeral companies and her ashes will likely be buried subsequent to her husband within the Spring at Riverside Cemetery, Cape Elizabeth.
