A nutritionist has shared her recipe for Low GI breakfast burritos that may assist kickstart your day in a wholesome and flavoursome means. 

Sydney resident, Rebecca Gawthorne, who goes by ‘Nourish Naturally‘ says her Low GI recipe is a ‘nice breakfast possibility’ and ‘will give you sustained vitality’. 

Rebecca begins the recipe by first heating one tablespoon of additional virgin olive oil in a fry pan over medium warmth.

She then provides to the pan half of a brown onion that has been finely diced and sautes it for 3 minutes. 

Subsequent she provides half a cup of sliced button mushrooms, 1 / 4 cup of refried beans and both one giant crushed egg or 50 grams of agency tofu to the pan. 

She cooks this for an extra 5 minutes, ‘fluffing’ the egg or tofu as she goes with a fork.

Breakfast burrito components:

  • 1 Tbsp additional virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 Brown onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 Cup button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 Can (100g) refried beans
  • 1 Giant egg, calmly crushed / 50g agency tofu, crumbled
  • 1 Cup child spinach, shredded 
  • 1/2 Avocado
  • Juice of 1/2 small lime
  • 4 Cherry tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 Cup contemporary parsley or coriander, finely chopped
  • 2 Low GI wraps

The Sydney-based nutritionist shared that consuming Low GI meals may also help treatment cravings, cut back zits, enhance levels of cholesterol, burn fats and extra. 

Rebecca wowed her followers with the straightforward breakfast recipe and had many commenting on how scrumptious the burrito appears to be like.
