My brother and sister-in-law made this one as a facet dish whereas grilling over the summer time. We cherished it. My son is again house on a university break and stated “Let’s make a few of these!”. As I used to be preparing, I assumed, this may make a fantastic French Onion Soup, so I made that too. Let’s get to each!

Substances

1 Vidalia (or Candy) Onion
3 Beef Bouillon Cubes (Low Sodium is finest)
3 T of butter
Aluminum Foil
French Bread (Croutons would work too)
Muenster Cheese Slices

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 400
2. Slice the highest and backside off onion, then reduce a crosshatch sample. Do NOT reduce right through
3. Place the butter and bouillon on prime of onion
4. Wrap and utterly seal in a sheet of foil. Then do it once more with a second sheet to stop leakage
5. Bake in oven for 40 minutes
6. Take away from oven and let stand for five minutes. Get pleasure from! Or…

7. Switch onion to oven protected dish and switch your oven broiler on excessive
8. Add French Bread chucks to dish
9. Cowl with a slice, or two, of muenster cheese
10. Place beneath broiler for five minutes and keep watch over it. You do not need to burn the cheese.
11. When bubbly, take away and luxuriate in your soup

This was so good. I modified the bouillon to low (or no) sodium as a result of it was just a little salty. In case you do it in your grill, it is medium warmth for a similar period of time. The onions are only a nice facet dish to something on the grill. Get pleasure from!
