Ohio entrepreneurs entered their Ohio-made or grown merchandise (meals or normal merchandise) within the contest, vying for a complete of $10,000 in financial prizes and the chance to promote their objects in Acme shops.

The grand-prize winner of the $5,000 prize is Brian Reardon, 51, who entered his 5-0 Buffalo-style hen dip. The 2 first-place winners of $2,500 every are Nana and Natasha Takyi-Micah, creator of marinade Supreme Sauce that’s made utilizing a Ghanian recipe and Nicole Lazar, producer of an elderberry syrup.

The 5-0 dip’s creator Reardon, who retired this week after serving 26 years as a police officer for Bainbridge Township, mentioned 5-0 is a time period for a police officer.

Reardon, who lives in Mentor, started advertising the dip — with origins in a crockpot dip he used to make for events — in 2019.
