It’s been stated that mediterranean delicacies is the world’s healthiest and most scrumptious weight loss program. So at the moment, drawing inspiration from his Greek Cypriot household roots, Theo Michaels is transporting us to sunnier climates along with his mediterranean impressed yogurt marinated lamb gyros with home made flatbread. Marinated lamb gyros with flatbreads
Serves 2
Substances
Marinade
30ml Greek yoghurt
2 cloves garlic, crushed
Juice of half a lemon
15ml olive oil
1 tsp salt
Few grinds black pepper
1 tbsp dried oregano
400g lamb leg or rump reduce 1 inch cubes
Flatbreads
½ cup / 125ml Greek yoghurt
1 cup / 250ml self elevating flour + further for dusting
Pinch saltToppings
Handful recent parsley and mint, chopped
1 vine tomato, diced
½ pink onion, diced
1 lemon, quartered
Technique
1. Combine the marinade elements collectively and therapeutic massage over cubed lamb. Depart for just a few hours or slather and go! Thread the lamb onto skewers and cook dinner on a scorching griddle for 1 minute on all sides.
2. To make the flatbreads, combine the yoghurt and flour collectively till a scraggy mess, then tip out and briefly knead, including extra flour/yoghurt till it varieties a dough. Roll into 6 inch discs and fry in a dry pan for a few minutes all sides.
