“The Large Mon” Jerk Burger Recipe
For this burger recipe I channel my interior Bob Marley to convey a style of Caribbean vibes to the grill.
I begin with 80/20 floor chuck shaped into massive 1/2 lb burger patties. Every one is seasoned with AP Seasoning (you should use salt & pepper) and my Jammin’ Jerk Seasoning (you should use any jerk seasoning) and grilled straight over charcoal.
Simply when the burgers are virtually finished, I brush the highest with a candy and spicy jerk sauce and let it caramelize excessive.
To maintain the island vibes going I additionally grill recent pineapple spears that I season with a combination of darkish brown sugar and extra jerk seasoning. The grill brings out further sweetness within the pineapple and offers it a barely smokey style.
The pineapple is then chopped and blended with diced onion, candy bell peppers, parsley, and cilantro. It’s superior on this burger; however you can too serve it as a dip, or use it to associate with different dishes as effectively. (served over grilled rooster or pork chops can be implausible).
To complete out the Jamaican taste I kick up mayo to create what I name my Calypso sauce. It’s mayo, ketchup, scotch bonnet pepper sauce, and some seasonings. This sauce brings the Caribbean warmth to the dish however the creamy mayo retains it in examine so that you get just a little burn. You need to use as a lot or little of the scotch bonnet pepper sauce as you want.
To construct the burger I unfold the Calypso sauce on the underside half of a sesame seed bun. It’s topped with lettuce, sliced tomato, and pickles; after which the burger.
For further jerk taste I drizzle on just a little extra jerk sauce after which pile up the pineapple relish on high. End it off with just a little extra Calypso on the higher bun and you’ve got one Caribbean burger that may have you ever swaying to the Jamaican beats!
Serve it would a chilly pink stripe beer or an enormous glass of Rum Punch and it’ll make your summer time higher!
